Preparation
Before obtaining a Kubrow, the player must first complete the Howl of the Kubrow Quest, which will allow access to the Incubator Segment of the Orbiter, and obtain the Nai-Zhen Collar which allows Kubrows to be fully tamed and have them accompany the player in missions.
By the time the player completes the Howl of the Kubrow Quest, the Kubrow will have fully matured, become ready for action, and can be taken to missions to aid the player in battle.
To acquire additional Kubrows, the player will need to search for a Kubrow Egg which can be found in Feral Kubrow's Den on the Earth's Forest Tileset.
Once an Egg is acquired, it can be incubated at the Incubator Segment. The following components will be necessary:
- 1 Egg
- 1 Incubator Power Core
Note: The player can receive the Incubator Power Core by finishing the Venus to Mercury Junction, by purchasing it on the in-game Market for 35 Platinum, or its Blueprint for 50,000 Credits.
After 48 hours of Incubation (or 24 hours with a Nutrio Incubator Upgrade Segment), the Egg will hatch, awarding a newborn Kubrow pup that can now be named upon claiming (at this time two unique Mods related to Kubrow's Abilities will be awarded).
However, a newborn Kubrow is still too young for the battlefield, it will be necessary to mature it for him to grow to a larger, adult size Companion, which can be then equipped at the Arsenal under 'Companion Loadout'.
- Huras
- Raksa
- Sahasa
- Sunika
- Chesa
- Helminth Charger
- The Charger is a special type of Kubrow. Players will need a fully mature Helminth Cyst which will be ready to be used 7 days after being infected. A pink cyst will appear on the Warframe's neck.
Once the Cyst is mature, a "Drain" option will be displayed on the Incubator's screen when trying to incubate a Kubrow egg.
For the details of their powers, please refer to our WIKI page.
KAVATS
Before being able to breed and own Kavats, players will have to first obtain a Kavat Incubator Upgrade Segment, which can be either purchased from the in-game Market for Platinum or researched at the Dojo. Once the Kavat portion of the Incubator is unlocked, players can then begin to breed them. This will require you to have an Incubator Power Core and 10 Kavat Genetic Codes which can be earned by scanning Feral Kavats.
- Smeeta
- Adarza
- Vasca
For the details of their powers, please refer to our WIKI page.
Note: To obtain this specific type of Kavat, bring a normal Kavat to the Plains of Eidolon at night to meet a Vasca Kavat. If the Kavat becomes tainted by a Vasca bite, imprint it and use two Imprints to breed one Vasca.
Please note that doing an Imprint of an infected Kavat will heal him, but he can still be infected once again afterward. If you want to make your Kavat immune to the virus, visit Master Teasonai in Cetus for the Vasca Curative.
SENTINELS
Sentinels are robotic companions that follow and support the player in the game. The very first one you will get is obtained from completing the Earth to Venus Junction: Taxon.
As for the other companions, Sentinels come with two Precept Mods. Please also note that they require two open slots in your arsenal: one for the Sentinel, and another one for its weapon.
You will manage to get more Sentinels, each with its own role, throughout the game, being it through Clan research, the Market (for Credits), or through Syndicates. There are 10 normal versions: Carrier, Dethcube, Diriga, Djinn, Helios, Nautilus, Oxylus, Shade, Taxon, and Wyrm. Some of them have a Prime version (Wyrm Prime, Helios Prime, Carrier Prime, Dethcube Prime). As for any Prime part, these can be obtained through Void Relics.

- Lambeo: Stasis Field and Shockwave Actuators
- Para: Whiplash Mine and Anti-Grav Grenade
- Nychus: Blast Shield and Hard Engage

DEIMOS COMPANIONS
Similar to MOAs, those Infested companions are modular and require several components to be "revivified": a weakened version of the companion, an Antigen and a Mutagen.A weakened version of your companion is obtained through Conservation: you need to find a Predasite or a Vulpaphyla that were hurt by Infested monsters before catching them.
Antigens and Mutagens are obtained through Reputation points with the Son of the Deimos family.
Only the Subspecies of the weakened version will give you Mastery points after you've gilded your companion, by visiting the Son.The subspecies will also determine the two Precept Mods that will be given.

Each Hound you come across can have a subset of different Components (similar to the MOA Companion Crafting).
Hound Component Blueprints are tradeable. Players will need to visit Legs in Fortuna to assemble a Hound Companion with the Components obtained! Here, players can also Provide the Hound to Legs for 4,000 Solaris United Standing. This amount is higher in comparison to MOA Companions due to the acquisition flow required for a Hound.

Please also note that each Core and Bracket come with its additional Precepts as well, which can be mixed and matched between the Hounds once acquired.
Customizing Pets
Once you have a trusty Companion ready for action, you can customize them by going to your Arsenal and 'Upgrade'. You can then equip Mods to your pets, so they can better assist you on the battlefield.
The appearance of the Companion can be changed by going to Arsenal > Companion Loadout > Appearances, where a wide range of cosmetics are available.
