Archwings allow players to engage in aptly named Archwing missions, where Tenno get to fly through space and engage in full three-dimensional combat. It also allows them to participate in Railjack missions.
How do I get my Archwing?
The first part of the Archwing Quest can be started by completing the Mars Junction, located on Earth. Completing this quest will award the player with their own Archwing as well as give them access to various Archwing missions. Once unlocked, this quest can be accessed through the Quest tab located in the worldstate menu in Navigation.
As the player progresses through the quest, they will obtain blueprints for Odonata, needed to craft their first Archwing:
- Odonata Blueprint (sent by the Lotus)
- Odonata Wings Blueprint
- Odonata Harness Blueprint
- Odonata Systems Blueprint
It is important NOT to sell any of these until the quest is complete. If a part has already been sold, contact Support by creating a ticket.
Following the creation of the Archwing, make sure that the Archwing quest is set as the Active quest before claiming it from the Foundry. This is important, as the final mission must be completed before the player gains access to all the Archwing nodes.
Where do I find my Archwing and how can I add mods?
Once the Archwing Quest has been completed, players can access their Archwing through the Arsenal. The Archwing menu can be found in the top left corner of the Arsenal screen.
From here, players can equip and customize their Archwings as they would any other piece of equipment. it is important to note that Archwing missions use an exclusive category of weapons, regular weapons cannot be used in Archwing missions.
How do I control my Archwing?
Basic Archwing controls are very similar to standard Warframe controls. Many of the keys serve the same function but are instead applied to work in a three-dimensional space. These are the basic controls for movement.

What kind of Archwing missions are there?
Archwing missions currently have a total of 9 different mission types: Exterminate, Interception, Sabotage, Mobile Defense, Pursuit, Rush, Assassination, Free Roam, and Railjack:
- Exterminate: In Exterminate missions, players are tasked with taking out a set number of enemies on the map, and then making their way to the extraction point.
- Interception: In Interception missions, players are tasked with capturing and holding 4 Command Points. Waves of enemies will be sent to capture these points from the players. This game mode is endless and players will be offered the choice to extract or keep fighting at the end of every wave, with increasing difficulty.
- Sabotage: In Sabotage missions, players are tasked with making their way to the power generator at the core of an enemy ship, where they must destroy the generator while eliminating enemies. Once the generator is successfully destroyed, players must make their way to the extraction point.
- There exists a special variant of this mission in the form of a recurring Balor Fomorian event.
- Mobile Defense: In Mobile Defense Missions, players are to approach 3 Satellites and hack them. Each Satellite must be defended until hacking is completed.
- Pursuit: In Pursuit missions, players are required to chase and intercept an enemy Courier, then - once the target has been immobilized - they are to defend the Courier until the Black Box can be extracted.
- Rush: In Rush missions, players are tasked with destroying at least one of the three marked targets.
- Assassination: Assassination Missions require the players to eliminate a unique enemy boss and then return to extraction.
- Free Roam: Archwings can be summoned via Archwing Deployer Gear Item to aid in traversal and bounties.
- Railjack: Archwings can be used in Railjack after leaving the ship.
Upgrading the Archwing
Archwing and Arch-Weapons require a different kind of mods than standard land-based equipment. These Archwing exclusive mods can be obtained from drops by playing any Archwing mission, looted from enemies, or bought from Cephalon Simaris or Baro Ki'Teer.
Expanding Archwing Arsenal
Players can obtain other Archwings in a Clan’s Tenno Lab in the Dojo while other Archwing weapons can be obtained through Syndicates, Clan Researches, Baro Ki’Teer, Trading, or in some cases through Kuva Liches.
