Accessing the Foundry
The Foundry can be accessed by interacting with the Foundry segment in the lower compartment of the Orbiter or by using a menu shortcut ESC > Equipment > Foundry.
Inside the Foundry
All the acquired blueprints can be found in the Foundry.
Every blueprint contains the following information:
- Name of the item.
- Components and their quantity required to build the item (Owned/Needed).
- When hovering over the blueprint, it will show the component’s description and the names of the resources required to build it.
- Credits and build time is displayed on the bottom left.
- Owned components and resources can be checked by clicking the COMPONENTS button on the bottom right corner of the screen.
- If the item has already been built, the blueprint will display the amount of the item currently in the Inventory on the lower-left corner. This value does not represent the amount of blueprints owned.
- Once the construction of the item has begun, a timer and a percentage bar will display its progress. The item can be claimed once the construction is complete, or it can be rushed to build and claim the item instantly. The number in the bottom left shows the Platinum cost of a Rush action.
- Note: Platinum cost will decrease as the construction progresses. If the player decides to Rush the construction using Platinum, a confirmation screen will be displayed. Once confirmed, the Platinum will be spent and the item will be added to the player's Inventory.
- If the player wishes to cancel the construction of an item, it can be done at any stage before reaching 100% by clicking the red X button on the blueprint.
Blueprint Organization
As the player progresses they will find many blueprints and components, which may make it difficult to find a specific one. In this case, the player can narrow the search using one of many Categories at the top of the Foundry screen, using the Sort method, or by using the Search box.
It is also possible to search for all blueprints that contains a specific Resource.

I have built the wrong item and the construction has already finished!
In case you didn’t cancel the construction in time, please leave the item in the Foundry and contact Warframe Support.
I can't sell my unwanted blueprints in the Foundry.
You can sell your unwanted blueprints by pressing ESC > Equipment > Inventory. Here you will find your blueprints under the MISCELLANEOUS or PRIME PART tabs, where you can select them and sell them for Credits.
When I try to claim an item I keep getting an error message saying 'Insufficient space in inventory'.
The number of certain items you can store in your inventory is limited by slots. From the start you have slots for 2 Warframes, 8 weapons (primary, secondary and melee), 8 Sentinels or their weapons and 2 Kubrows. If you have reached the maximum amount of items, you will be presented with the above message when you try to claim another one. You can now either sell items of that category to free up slots or purchase additional slots with Platinum. Slots can be purchased by pressing ESC > Equipment > Inventory.
When I try to make a weapon that requires 2 weapons (ie. Aklex), I have the required weapons but the Foundry says I only have 1 and I cannot construct the weapon.
Most likely the weapons you are trying to use as components are your only primary/secondary/melee weapons. The game is preventing you from having no weapons of a category. You will need to have at least one weapon of each category ready to equip at all times.
I made the Cipher multiple times with 1 blueprint, but when I made another item, the blueprint disappeared!
Most blueprints can only be used once and it are consumed after the construction is completed. However select blueprints such as Cipher blueprints and other gear blueprints are reusable.
Reusable blueprints are labelled with an infinity symbol with text REUSABLE BLUEPRINT.
